sandcastles is the name given to a range of Shareware written by me, Paul B Jones. This software is not meant to be anything more serious than simple entertainment.
To entice you to send real money I am offering to those who take the time, three 800k disks containing my current output, this includes Construction Kits like Trainset, Trams, Trainset II, Dollshouse v2, and Chutes v2, Talking Clocks, plus several of bits and pieces that I have been tinkering with.
I own a 512Ke as well as an SE, I have written most software with system 6.0.4 in mind. This was found to be the last version of the System that I could easily shoehorn into the 512Ke without crashing some of the larger applications, in general the only incompatibility comes from my use of icons in the menus and the Sndplay command that is not supported in many of the earlier systems. if you require a version that runs on with system 3.2, then drop me a line.
All of my Construction Kits are built on the same ╘Shell╒ and share common features, and faults.
In general, you select a ╘piece╒ from a menu and move it into position on the screen. It╒s resting position will be shown by either a ghost of the piece or a flashing square. Click on the mouse button to lock that piece into position.
If you own an old 128 or 512 then I have a disk of software that runs nicely of these machines.
Chutes is an amusement for people who like to doodle, or kids that wish to annoy their parents.
The object of the program is to allow you to construct a pipeline and watch as a ball makes it's way through the maze.
do not place pipes into the first column, there is a bug that I need to fix.
the ball will cross underneath straight sections of pipe.
running one pipe into another can result in loops, this may be good or this may be bad.
I write new and remodel older software on a regular basis so at least write, for more details.
enjoy.
P.S. I've Updated Chutes and it will open older files but they will appear as garbage, sorry. It was a good move program - wise, but a bummer for holders of older versions.
